Steve Harrison has been designing, illustrating, and telling stories with his art for the better part of two decades. He grew up in Ojai, California where he met and was mentored by Sergio Aragonés, known worldwide for his cartooning work on Mad Magazine and Groo the Wanderer.
With Sergio’s guidance, Steve published his first comic book when he was sixteen. Directed by his mentor to draw more, more, he has never stopped drawing and improving his craft since.
In 1993, Steve was recognized by the Ojai Unified School District for his national award winning artwork in his school’s yearbook.
His first professional work was for Pacific Sunwear designing a line of t-shirts for the brand, Rot’n Tom, sold in malls nation-wide.
In 1998, Diamond Comics distributed Steve’s self-published comic book series, Fabricari, in comic book shops around the world. A few years later the series was resumed as a web comic reaching an audience of up to 400,000 readers. Fabricari was finally collected as a graphic novel available on Lulu.com.
Steve has also pursued a career in web design and development providing solutions for clients worldwide, including Ford Motor Company, Chrysler, and GM. He now lives in Avon, OH with his wife and son, and works for Harley-Davidson Motor Companies.
Steve continues to draw comics, and his latest book, Parity, is being serialized online and will soon be available in print.
